Broforce is a side-scrolling run-and-gun platform video game developed by Free Lives and published by Devolver Digital. In the game, players take on the role of the enigmatic “Bro” as he attempts to save his comrades. Embracing the art style of other retro platformers (vaguely reminiscent of Contra), players will have the ability to recruit a Bro from Broforce's extensive selection. The Bros are parodies of movie action heroes, all with Bro-themed names, including Brommando and the Broniversal Soldier. Each Bro can be unlocked by freeing him from his respective prison in the game’s dangerous, explosive levels.
